just what i needed

Jordan and I got to go home for almost a full week ... it was FANTASTIC! We went our separate ways once we got to Oregon so we could spend as much time as possible with our own families. We've discovered that it gets really hectic when we try to spend the whole trip together keeping up with everyone's schedules. So, I missed seeing his fam a lot, and he missed mine, but that was the sacrifice we had to make, I guess.

We met our niece (my sister's baby) for the first time. She is adorable. She's 7 months and starting to crawl. We kept saying "I can't believe we haven't seen her till now." She loves hide-and-go-seek. She lays on the floor and pulls whatever she can find (blanket, her own shirt, etc.) over her eyes and then gets really stiff (because she's hiding) and waits for someone to say "where's Eliza?" It is hilarious, and very cute!

I spent two nights at the beach with my family -- all my siblings were there, which doesn't happen very often, so it was really great. We rented a house and couldn't have asked for better weather.

I went to Corvallis (where Jordan's parents live) for one afternoon and got to meet Aaron (J's sister's boyfriend). We've heard lots about him from Marissa (J's sis), so it was great to finally meet him!

It was such a fantastic week, it was hard to come back to reality. I'm thankful we have so many great friends here ... that made it a little easier!

Kellie,
I am so glad that you have joined the world of blogging. I was resistant for a long time, but I have enjoyed having a place to write and share pictures with others. We will certainly be thinking of you guys on March 25th as well. I hope that you get to do something fun for your anniversary too.
