I love summer in the Northwest. We always missed it when we were baking with the crickets in the Oklahoma summer sun (and, more importantly, humidity). And, as always, Oregon does not disappoint. It's been hot (yes, even by Oklahoma standards) the last week or so, but the cool evenings can't be beat. Now that it's back to more normal temperatures, I can't get enough of it. We've been so busy, I've barely been able to take full advantage of these perfect summer nights, so tonight, we stayed home and broke out the little grill I got for my birthday. And it was a good choice. Our first corn-on-the-cob of the season, grilled burgers with all the fixin's and a movie.
I even got the dishes done and Jordan did some laundry. Ah, I'm looking forward to a restful rest-of-the evening and a good night's sleep!

There's always plenty for you and Max! If it's anything like last year, this amazing weather will continue through October. I'm hoping it's a lot like last year!
