A lot has happened in the last couple months, which is one of many reasons my blog has been held hostage by a sad looking guy in a monkey suit. So, here's the run down (in no particular order) ...
1. I didn't get a job I was hoping for (hence the previously mentioned monkey suit), but thankfully, I had a backup plan and have a job working for a farm in Corvallis.
2. Work has been challenging, busy, frustrating, rewarding, funny, disappointing, and exciting all in the first two months. Can't wait to see what will happen tomorrow!
3. Jordan scored a summer internship - phew, what a relief! Great experience, good connections, solid income, and funding for his next year of grad school. What can I say? My husband is good at what he does :)
4. Sadly, Jordan's grandma passed away. She hadn't been in good health, but it's never easy to lose someone you love. She really loved God, and we were all thankful that he called her home peacefully.
5. My sister had a baby. Number 4. His name is Garrett and he's a real cutie - although not as fun (yet) as his older brothers and sister who are so, so fun to hang out with!
6. We moved! We found a duplex about two miles from where I work. It's out of town, has lots of space, and has a laundry room -- with a door that goes directly outside! This was a huge perk for me, since I frequently come home covered in dirt and horse hair.
7. I went on a mission trip to a homeless mission in the San Francisco Bay area. It was incredible. The people we worked with had such faithful hearts for God, and I cannot wait to go back!
8. We bought a computer. After talking about it for four years, we finally bit the bullet and just bought one. Uncle Sam owed us some money, so a little of that contributed to our technology fund.
9. I have really missed our Stillwater friends - you know who you are :)
10. I have started making better friends here, and I'm really thankful for that.
11. Seems like every day I hear about another person having a baby (friends, family, the teller at the bank, and the list goes on). Not jumping on that train yet, but at least I know I'll have plenty of people to ask for advice when the time comes :)
I guess that's about it for now. Stay tuned -- with our new computer, I might just have a few more minutes for my blog.

Nice blog entry! You should write more in your "spare time."
