so much to say, so little time

My thesis defense is tomorrow afternoon, and I've found it much harder than I expected to organize my thoughts and squeeze everything I have learned about sustainable agriculture and food processors (if you really care about that ... you can ask for more info) into a short 20-minute presentation. I did a couple of practice runs yesterday. That went pretty well; I got some great feedback from my faithful grad-student friends (thanks Lesley and Tanya!). It is just amazingly difficult to prioritize information from more than a year's work into a very short 20 minutes. But, alas, I have no choice. Today will be spent reviewing journal articles, deciding what is most critical to share and studying for a test (poor planning on my part - don't schedule a defense the same day as another class's exam). And tomorrow by 4 p.m. I will be one giant leap closer to graduation (and a day closer to my mom and sisters' visit).
